Welcome to our Senior School

EIFA students follow an internationally accredited bilingual education

When a student leaves our care, our aim is that they will be completely bilingual in English and French, and will have acquired the basis of a lifelong multilingual ability. They will also be open-minded, inquisitive and have the kind of critical minds needed to make the best of the opportunities the world will present to them. We strive to develop students who have the self-confidence to think for themselves and come to reasoned conclusions about the world around them.

Worldwide opportunities

EIFA is a candidate school* for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme and pursuing authorisation as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy, a commitment to improve the teaching and learning of a diverse and inclusive community of students by delivering challenging, high-quality programmes of international education that share a powerful vision.

*Only schools authorised by the International Baccalaureate can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Year(MYP), the Diploma Programme or the IB Career-related Certificate (IBCC). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.

For further information about the IB and its programmes, visit www.ibo.org.

Intending to offer the programme in English and French, we will be the first school in the UK to deliver this internationally recognised programme in both languages. In addition to offering this highly academic programme, EIFA believes that critical thinking, open mindedness and cultural understanding are equally important to our students. We ensure that artistic and cultural studies are also an important part of our curriculum alongside a wide variety of extracurricular cultural, artistic and sporting activities. We believe that, as a result of their time with EIFA, our students emerge happy, open-minded and inquisitive, with the skills they need to become true citizens of the world.

IGCSE / English curriculum

Students in the English curriculum follow a two year course in IGCSE subjects from Y10, with exams at the end of Year 11.
